Our founder Jenna Qassem, was diagnosed with Dyscalculia at the age of 16, a form of Dyslexia but specifically affects a person’s ability to understand numbers and perform mathematical calculations. Jenna first started the TinyLingos brand as a project for her last graphic design class before graduation. Initially unsure of what direction to take, it wasn’t until later when she rediscovered her old childhood drawings and writings that she recalled the struggles she faced in distinguishing between English and Arabic letters. Among the drawings she found was a series of pictures she had made at the age of 10, where she had started drawing letters using shapes—an approach that unknowingly led her to create the concept behind TinyLingos!

After months of research and tireless effort, TinyLingos made its debut at the American University of Kuwait’s Capstone Exhibition in Spring of 2024. It was here that Fady Mahmoud, our Co-Founder, took an interest in the project. Fady, saw the potential for the product to make a real difference. The two began collaborating, discussing ways to refine the project and make it even more impactful. Almost a year of hard work and dedication later, they officially relaunched TinyLingos as a company, driven by their shared commitment to help others overcome learning challenges and make language learning fun and accessible.
